New 10 Cloverfield Lane Trailers in Theaters This Weekend

There are five new 10 Cloverfield Lane trailer variants showing in theaters this weekend, each containing a different hidden image. The trailers are running before some showings of Deadpool, Zoolander 2, and/or The Hateful Eight, but they could be attached to other PG-13, R, or NC-17 movies as well. Some theaters (Cinemark, Regal, Carmike) also have exclusive trailers for their chains, so it may be difficult to see them all in person, depending on where you live.

So far, all five images have been captured by folks at Reddit, and they all appear to contain mysterious numbers, but the quality of the images so far is terrible. When we find better quality versions, we'll update this post, so keep checking back!

PS: If you don't mind risking 5 years in prison or a $250,000 fine, feel free to record the trailer yourself and send us some screenshots :)

Here are some higher resolution photos of each image:

Here is another photo of the "On Deck" image, sent to us by Danny H:

I have cropped the image and adjusted the levels, and you can clearly see a "5742".

  1. I immediately wonder if the picture of the monkey could be related to the ChimpanzIII satellite

    1. Cloverfield actually went under the codename "Monkey" at one point while being filmed. Don't know if that helps at all.

  2. Psh, the people behind the ARG wanted this to happen. I'd find it really silly for someone to get thrown into prison over this.

  6. Anyone else feel like all of these photos are dated? By that I mean, all of the images have that early 60's vibe. Just a thought

  10. The Navy seems to be a common theme with all of these pictures.

  11. The numbers on the monkey's jacket would be part of a longitude, latitude number, but it is only part of the full number. Maybe the numbers on the football jersey fit in? If someone could rework the numbers you might have a clue to what the monster did to the sea vessel

  13. I just looked at the source code for the ".Long-Term Shelter Supply" Swamp Pop page. I see the word "Trekkie" in there. Is that a J.J. Abrams reference?

  14. Not sure if this means anything but if you look at the catalog for Mustang Survival, there's a reference to a measure of temperature called "Clo". Hmmmm

  15. Anyone figure anything out about 3-11-16.com? It redirects to a realty companies site with the image of a fallout shelter diagram.

  18. That all makes sense!
The Chuai Rig fell apart maybe because of the satellite Chimpanzlll, which maybe the animal in the picture, and hit the Chuai Rig resulting in a collapsing of it. The men were probably trapped in the satellite recovered the satellite that looks like it said NAVY. The person jumping in the pool of water must've been 'holding down the satellite which crashed and therefore.' The 'On Deck!' picture must've meant that they're there when it fell, and when it did, it must've hit the monsters' head and given that's what and when the CLOVERFIELD events started. And the numbers on the picture must mean that they must be some sort of cell phone number...

~Towards the end, you'll see the 'satellite falling' from space.~

  19. So, I put all of the numbers together into GPS coordinates (30.6689, -90.125742) and it gives a location in Covington, Louisiana
